The MD of Opportunity No.17 is seeking to fill the positions of temporary fulltime or casual/part time operator/laborer positions for the 2019 season. Reporting directly to the Superintendent for the Eagle Point Golf Club the positions requires an Operator/Laborer to maintain the Eagle Point Golf Course. The incumbent operates different types of motorized equipment, collects and disposes garbage, sweeps, rakes, cuts grass, sanitizes and restocks washrooms, maintain, operate and service all types of hand held equipment as directed by the Superintendent. The level of service as directed by the Superintendent must be met or exceeded while maintaining a safe work environment. This job entails working weekdays and some weekends.



  1. Work safely according to the policy and procedures set forth by the MD of Opportunity
  2. Raking the sand in bunkers
  3. Remove or cover up all graffiti
  4. Weed trimming
  5. Sanitizing toilet seats, toilet paper dispensers, and walls in outdoor washrooms.
  6. Restocking washrooms picking up garbage
  7. Fuel and grease all equipment
  8. Check all equipment daily
  9. Operation of all different types of turf equipment
  10. Operation of utility vehicles
  11. Operation of chainsaw with proper safety tickets
  12. Weed removal and maintenance of all ground maintenance areas including but not limited to; grass, sand, soil and gravel
  13. Operate leaf blowers
  14. Heavy lifting and shoveling of up 55 pounds
  15. Digging of irrigation lines
  16.  Fixing irrigation system
  17. Abide by all safety rules and regulations
  18. Filling out FLRA forms daily



  • Grade 12 Education
  • The position requires an individual who is a team player, must have a positive attitude with exceptional public relations skills
  • Physical Ability and knowledge and skills required to complete responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class 5 or better)
